On February 8th, 2025, Reset Nation was cultivated during a pickleball drill session where the resets were off the hook. A reset in pickleball is a defensive shot where you softly drop the ball back into the kitchen to regain control. Most likely to occur in the transition zone while being attacked. Celebrating in complete excitement, Reset Nation spewed from my lips, and the light bulb went off in my head. I was already eager to serve my community, so my first thought was a non-profit of my own was just it!

Growing up wasn’t exactly easy, as many have the same experience in their lifetime. I have always had an athletic ability and was pretty decent at anything I put my hands on. Substance abuse started relatively young at the age of twelve and limited my growth physically and spiritually over the years. It wasn’t until I was thirty years old that I had a life-threatening experience that brought me before God. I decided to stop the madness and regain control of my life. Fitness became my new addiction very shortly after my recovery. I took on weight training, rock climbing, golf, and pickleball. The sports community is so encouraging and positive! I truly believe it’s a great place for kids and adults to invest their time.

My faith guides me and drives me to create opportunities for the youth and my community to succeed. Reset Nation will host tournament-style events, galas, and other events to raise funds for non-profits that impact communities that share similar struggles that I have experienced.
